Ingredients
    For the Pizza Dough
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for kneading)
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 ¼ cups warm water (45°C)
  • For the Garlic White Sauce
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk (warm)
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp dried oregano
  • For the Toppings
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup whole milk ricotta cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
    Prepare the Pizza Dough
  1. 1
In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. Add olive oil, flour, and salt. Mix and knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth. Transfer to a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  2. Make the Garlic White Sauce
  3. 2
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté minced garlic for 1–2 minutes. Add flour, whisking constantly for another 1–2 minutes to create a roux. Slowly pour in warm milk and cream, whisking to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens (3–5 minutes), then stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and oregano. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Preheat the Oven and Prepare Baking Surface
  5. 3
Preheat your oven to 245°C. Place a pizza stone or an inverted baking sheet inside to preheat. Lightly flour a surface and roll out the dough into two 10–12 inch rounds.
  6. Assemble the White Pizza
  7. 4
Spread a generous layer of garlic white sauce over each dough round. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly, dollop ricotta in small spoonfuls, and add Parmesan. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle Italian herbs (and red pepper flakes if using).
  8. Bake the Pizza
  9. 5
Carefully transfer the assembled pizza onto the hot stone/baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  10. Garnish and Serve
  11. 6
Let the pizza cool for 3–5 minutes before garnishing with fresh basil. Slice and serve hot!
Note

Make Ahead Tip: The dough and garlic sauce can be made 24 hours ahead and stored in the fridge.

Storage: Leftover pizza can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 180°C for 5–7 minutes.

Variation: Add sautéed spinach, mushrooms, or caramelized onions for extra flavor.
