Description

This Vanilla Fig Iced Coffee Recipe blends rich brewed coffee with naturally sweet fig syrup and smooth vanilla for a refreshing, café-style iced beverage. Perfect for warm days, this unique iced coffee offers deep flavor, gentle sweetness, and an elegant homemade touch.

Ingredients
    For the Fig Vanilla Syrup
  • 1 cup fresh figs (chopped, stems removed)
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 0.25 cup honey or granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • For the Iced Coffee
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 0.5 cup cold milk or almond milk
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Optional Garnish
  • Fresh fig slices
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Light drizzle of honey
Instructions
    Prepare the Fig Vanilla Syrup
  1. 1
Add chopped figs, water, and honey (or sugar) to a small saucepan. Simmer gently over medium-low heat at around 90°C for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The figs should soften and release their natural sweetness into the liquid.
  2. Blend and Strain the Syrup
  3. 2
Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly. Blend until smooth, then strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp. Stir in the vanilla extract and let the syrup cool completely.
  4. Brew and Cool the Coffee
  5. 3
Brew strong coffee using your preferred method. Allow it to cool fully to prevent ice from melting too quickly and diluting the flavor.
  6. Assemble the Iced Coffee
  7. 4
Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes. Pour cooled coffee over the ice, followed by milk. Add 2–3 tablespoons of fig vanilla syrup to each glass and stir gently until well combined.
  8. Garnish and Serve
  9. 5
Top with whipped cream if desired, garnish with fresh fig slices, and drizzle lightly with honey for an extra touch of sweetness. Serve immediately while cold and refreshing.
Note

Store leftover fig vanilla syrup in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.

You can replace honey with maple syrup or coconut sugar for different flavor notes.

For a stronger coffee taste, use cold brew instead of regular brewed coffee.

Adjust syrup quantity based on how sweet you prefer your iced coffee.
