Description

This homemade Strawberry Cream Soda is a refreshing, fizzy beverage made with real strawberries, creamy vanilla notes, and sparkling soda water. Perfect for summer parties or everyday treats, this easy drink delivers nostalgic soda-shop flavor.

Ingredients
    For the Strawberry Syrup
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (washed, hulled, and sliced)
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • For the Cream Soda
  • 2 cups chilled soda water
  • 0.5 cup cold milk or fresh cream (full-fat for best flavor)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Optional Garnish
  • Fresh strawberry slices
  • Whipped cream (optional, halal-friendly)
  • Fresh mint leaves
Instructions
    Prepare the Strawberry Syrup
  1. 1
Add the sliced strawberries, sugar, and water to a saucepan. Place over medium heat and stir gently until the sugar dissolves. Let the mixture simmer for 8–10 minutes until the strawberries soften and release their juices. Stir in the lemon juice to brighten the flavor.
  2. Strain and Cool the Syrup
  3. 2
Remove the saucepan from heat. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing gently to extract maximum flavor. Discard the pulp or reserve it for desserts. Allow the syrup to cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Assemble the Cream Soda
  5. 3
Fill serving glasses halfway with ice cubes. Pour 2–3 tablespoons of strawberry syrup into each glass, depending on sweetness preference.
  6. Add Cream and Soda
  7. 4
Add 2 tablespoons of cold milk or cream to each glass, followed by a few drops of vanilla extract. Slowly pour chilled soda water over the mixture to maintain the fizz.
  8. Gently Stir and Garnish
  9. 5
Give the drink a gentle stir to create a beautiful pink swirl. Garnish with fresh strawberry slices or mint leaves. Serve immediately.
Note

For a dairy-free version, use coconut milk or almond milk.

Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing the syrup amount.

The strawberry syrup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

For extra richness, add a small scoop of vanilla ice cream before pouring the soda water.
