In a clean pan or wok, combine honey, soy sauce, water, vinegar, and minced garlic. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce becomes glossy and coats the back of a spoon.
Toss the Chicken
5 Add the fried chicken bites into the sauce. Toss gently until each piece is well coated in the sticky honey garlic glaze.
Serve
6 Transfer to a serving plate, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions, and serve hot. Best enjoyed immediately while crispy and sticky!
Note
- Make Ahead: You can fry the chicken bites in advance and refrigerate. Reheat in the oven before tossing in fresh sauce.
- Healthier Version: Bake the coated chicken at 200°C for 20–22 minutes, flipping halfway, or cook in an air fryer for 15 minutes.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet; the sauce may thicken, so add a splash of water when reheating.
- Variations: Add chili flakes or sriracha to the sauce for a spicy kick. Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness.
