Soft, chewy, and deeply flavorful, these Salted Honey Blondies combine the natural sweetness of honey with rich buttery notes and a delicate finish of flaky sea salt. This easy baked dessert is perfect for any season and delivers a comforting balance of sweet and salty in every bite

Ingredients
    For the Blondie Batter
  • 170 g • unsalted butter (melted and slightly cooled)
  • 150 g • honey (pure, natural)
  • 100 g • brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 2 large • eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp • vanilla extract
  • 190 g • all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 0.5 tsp • baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp • fine salt
  • For the Topping
  • 1.5 tbsp • honey (for drizzling)
  • 0.75 tsp • flaky sea salt
Instructions
    Prepare the Baking Pan
  1. 1
Line an 8×8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later. Preheat your oven to 175°C.
  2. Mix the Wet Ingredients
  3. 2
In a large mixing bowl, whisk the melted butter, honey, and brown sugar until smooth and glossy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. Combine the Dry Ingredients
  5. 3
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients using a spatula. Mix just until no dry flour remains—do not overmix.
  6. Bake the Blondies
  7. 4
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Add the Honey & Salt Finish
  9. 5
While the blondies are still warm, gently drizzle honey over the surface. Sprinkle evenly with flaky sea salt. Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
Note
  • For extra chewiness, slightly underbake and allow the blondies to set while cooling.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to 6 days.
  • You can add chopped nuts or white chocolate chips if desired, but keep the base simple to highlight the honey flavor.
