A vibrant and refreshing raspberry iced green tea made with delicate green tea, naturally sweet-tart raspberry syrup, and fresh citrus notes. This easy, healthy beverage is perfect for hot days, offering a balance of antioxidants and fruity flavor in every sip.

Ingredients
    For the Raspberry Syrup
  • 1.5 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 0.5 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • For the Green Tea Base
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tsp loose green tea leaves or 3 green tea bags
  • 1 –2 tbsp honey or sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
  • For Serving
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 0.5 cup fresh raspberries (for garnish)
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
    Prepare the Raspberry Syrup
  1. 1
In a small saucepan, combine raspberries, sugar, and water. Place over medium heat and gently stir. As the mixture heats, the raspberries will begin to break down and release their juices. Let it simmer for about 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  2. 2
Add lemon juice and stir well. Remove from heat and strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds. Allow the syrup to cool completely.
  3. Brew the Green Tea
  4. 3
Bring 4 cups of water to about 80°C (just before boiling). Avoid boiling water as it can make green tea bitter.
  5. 4
Add green tea leaves or tea bags and steep for 2–3 minutes. Remove the leaves or bags promptly to maintain a smooth flavor.
  6. 5
If desired, stir in honey or sugar while the tea is still warm. Let the tea cool to room temperature.
  7. Combine Tea and Raspberry Syrup
  8. 6
In a large pitcher, pour the cooled green tea and add the raspberry syrup. Stir well until fully combined. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more syrup or a little honey.
  9. Chill the Tea
  10. 7
Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1–2 hours until fully chilled. This step enhances the flavor and makes the drink extra refreshing.
  11. Assemble and Serve
  12. 8
Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled raspberry green tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh raspberries, lemon slices, and mint leaves for a beautiful presentation. Serve immediately and enjoy.
Note
  • Avoid bitterness: Always brew green tea at around 80°C, not boiling.
  • Sweetness control: Adjust sugar in the syrup based on how tart your raspberries are.
  • Stronger flavor: Add a few crushed raspberries directly into the pitcher for a more intense fruit taste.
  • Storage: Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Stir before serving.
  • Variation: Add sparkling water just before serving for a fizzy version.
