Ingredients
    For the Beef Marinade
  • 250 g flank steak (thinly sliced against the grain)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • For the Sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce (for color & depth)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp ground white pepper
  • 2 tbsp water
  • For the Stir-Fry
  • 300 g lo mein noodles (or spaghetti, cooked and drained)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (for stir-frying)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets (blanched or steamed until tender-crisp)
  • 1 medium carrot (julienned)
  • 1 bell pepper (thinly sliced, any color)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger (minced)
  • 2 green onions (sliced into 1-inch pieces)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
    Marinate the Beef
  1. 1
In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, and garlic. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes while you prep the vegetables and noodles.
  2. Prepare the Sauce
  3. 2
In a small bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients: soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, dark soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, white pepper, and water. Set aside.
  4. Cook the Noodles
  5. 3
Boil the lo mein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to prevent sticking. Set aside.
  6. Sear the Beef
  7. 4
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  8. Sauté Vegetables
  9. 5
In the same wok, add another tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon sesame oil. Toss in garlic, ginger, and green onions. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the carrots, bell pepper, and broccoli. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  10. Combine Everything
  11. 6
Return the cooked beef to the wok. Add the noodles and pour in the prepared sauce. Toss everything together with tongs or chopsticks until the noodles are evenly coated and heated through.
  12. Serve
  13. 7
Plate the lomein while hot. Garnish with sesame seeds and extra green onions if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Note
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.
