Description

This refreshing Peach Iced Tea with Mint is a homemade summer beverage made with fresh peaches, black tea, and cooling mint leaves. Naturally sweetened and bursting with fruit flavor, it's perfect for hot days, garden parties, or healthy sipping anytime.

Ingredients
    For the Peach Syrup:
  • 3 whole peaches, sliced (fresh or frozen)
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups water
  • For the Tea Base:
  • 4 black tea bags (or 4 tsp loose-leaf tea)
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 2 sprigs fresh mint (plus more for garnish)
  • For Serving:
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Peach slices (optional, for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (optional, for a citrus twist)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
    Make the Peach Syrup
  1. 1
In a saucepan, combine sliced peaches, sugar, and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peaches soften and release their juices. Lightly mash the peaches with a fork or potato masher. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl or jug. Set the syrup aside.
  2. Brew the Tea
  3. 2
In a separate pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil (100°C). Remove from heat and add the tea bags and mint sprigs. Cover and steep for 5–7 minutes. Remove tea bags and mint, then allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  4. Combine and Chill
  5. 3
In a large pitcher, combine the peach syrup and brewed tea. Stir well. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to chill completely and let the flavors meld.
  6. Serve
  7. 4
Fill serving glasses with ice. Pour the chilled peach iced tea over the ice. Garnish with peach slices, mint sprigs, or lemon wedges. Serve cold and enjoy!
Note

Make ahead: You can prepare the syrup and tea a day in advance.

Storage: Store in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Sugar alternatives: Use honey, agave, or stevia instead of sugar.

Add spices: A cinnamon stick or crushed cardamom can add extra depth.

Reuse the fruit: The leftover mashed peaches can be added to smoothies, yogurt, or oatmeal.
