Brew one shot of espresso (or use ⅓ cup strong brewed coffee if you don’t have an espresso machine). While the espresso is brewing, place Nutella into your coffee cup.
Pour the hot espresso over the Nutella in your coffee cup. Stir until the Nutella is completely melted and combined with the espresso.
Heat the milk to around 65°C using a milk frother, steamer, or stovetop. Whisk vigorously to create a creamy froth if you’re heating on the stovetop.
Slowly pour the steamed milk over the Nutella-espresso mixture, holding back the foam with a spoon. Add the foam on top as the final layer.
