Description

Creamy Tuscan Shrimp is a rich, restaurant-style seafood dish made with juicy shrimp, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and spinach simmered in a velvety cream sauce. This one-pan recipe comes together quickly on the stovetop and is perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions. The flavors are bold, comforting, and naturally.

Ingredients
    For the Shrimp
  • 500 g shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • For the Creamy Tuscan Sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 0.5 cup sun-dried tomatoes (drained and sliced)
  • 1.25 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach (roughly chopped)
  • 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • For Finishing
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
    Season & Sear the Shrimp
  1. 1
Pat the shrimp dry to ensure browning. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat (around 180°C). Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
  2. Build the Garlic Base
  3. 2
In the same pan, add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30–40 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Add Sun-Dried Tomatoes
  5. 3
Stir in the sliced sun-dried tomatoes and sauté for 1 minute. Their oil adds flavor depth to the sauce.
  6. Create the Creamy Sauce
  7. 4
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Add Italian seasoning and chili flakes (optional). Let the sauce thicken for 2–3 minutes.
  8. Melt the Parmesan
  9. 5
Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until fully melted into the sauce, making it silky and rich.
  10. Add Spinach
  11. 6
Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted, about 1 minute.
  12. Return the Shrimp
  13. 7
Place the cooked shrimp back into the pan, coating them evenly in the creamy Tuscan sauce. Simmer for another 1–2 minutes to combine flavors.
  14. Finish the Dish
  15. 8
Turn off the heat. Add lemon juice and chopped parsley. Adjust salt and pepper if needed. Serve hot.
Note

To keep it, ensure the chicken broth is certified.

For a lighter version, use half cream + half milk (but sauce will be thinner).

You can substitute spinach with kale or Swiss chard.

Serve with pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the refrigerator.

Reheat on low heat to avoid curdling the cream.
