Ingredients
For the Base & Top Layer:
  • 2 rolls refrigerated crescent dough
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted, for brushing)
  • For the Cheesecake Filling:
  • 450 g cream cheese (softened, halal-certified)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • For the Cinnamon Sugar Swirl:
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted, for drizzle)
  • Optional Garnish:
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Whipped cream or caramel drizzle (for serving)
Instructions
    Prepare the Pan
  1. 1
Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy lifting later. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Make the Cinnamon Sugar Mix
  3. 2
In a small bowl, mix ½ cup granulated sugar + 2 ½ tsp ground cinnamon. Set aside for later.
  4. Lay the Base Dough
  5. 3
Unroll one crescent dough sheet and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan, sealing seams with fingers. Brush lightly with 1 tbsp melted butter and sprinkle with 2 tbsp cinnamon sugar.
  6. Make Cheesecake Filling
  7. 4
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese + 1 cup sugar until smooth. Add the egg, vanilla, and salt and beat again until creamy and lump-free.
  8. Assemble the Layers
  9. 5
Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared base, spreading evenly. Place the second sheet of crescent dough on top, gently pressing edges to seal. Brush with remaining 3 tbsp melted butter.
  10. Add Cinnamon Sugar Swirl
  11. 6
Sprinkle the entire surface generously with the remaining cinnamon sugar. Drizzle with 2 tbsp melted butter for a golden swirl effect.
  12. Bake
  13. 7
Bake at 175°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes, until the top is golden brown and slightly crisp.
  14. Cool & Serve
  15. 8
Cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 1 more hour before slicing into bars. Garnish with powdered sugar, caramel, or whipped cream if desired.
Note

Storage: Store bars in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Freezing: Wrap bars tightly in foil and freeze for up to 1 month. Thaw overnight in the fridge before serving.

Variation: Add a layer of dulce de leche or Nutella under the cheesecake filling for extra indulgence.

Serving Tip: Best enjoyed chilled, but you can also warm slices slightly before serving.
