Description

This Brown Sugar Cold Foam Cold Brew is a smooth, refreshing coffee drink made with rich cold-brewed coffee and topped with lightly sweetened brown sugar cold foam. Perfectly balanced, creamy, and lightly caramelized, it’s an easy café-style beverage you can enjoy at home any time of the year.

Ingredients
    For the Cold Brew Base
  • 0.75 cup coarsely ground coffee beans (medium to dark roast)
  • 3 cup cold filtered water
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • For the Brown Sugar Syrup
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 0.25 tsp vanilla bean paste or halal vanilla essence (alcohol-free)
  • For the Brown Sugar Cold Foam
  • 0.5 cup cold heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1.5 tbsp prepared brown sugar syrup
Instructions
    Prepare the Cold Brew
  1. 1
In a large jar or pitcher, add the coarsely ground coffee and pour in the cold filtered water. Stir gently to make sure all grounds are fully saturated. Cover and refrigerate for 12–18 hours. This slow extraction creates a smooth, low-acid coffee concentrate.
  2. Strain the Coffee
  3. 2
After steeping, strain the coffee using a fine-mesh strainer, coffee filter, or cheesecloth. Discard the grounds and transfer the cold brew to a clean container. Keep chilled until ready to use.
  4. Make the Brown Sugar Syrup
  5. 3
In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar and water. Heat over low to medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture slightly thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the halal vanilla. Let it cool completely before using.
  6. Prepare the Brown Sugar Cold Foam
  7. 4
In a cold bowl or jar, combine heavy cream, milk, and brown sugar syrup. Use a handheld milk frother, whisk, or blender to whip until thick and foamy but still pourable. Do not over-whip.
  8. Assemble the Drink
  9. 5
Fill two tall glasses with ice. Pour cold brew coffee over the ice, filling about three-quarters of each glass. Slowly spoon the brown sugar cold foam on top, allowing it to float naturally.
  10. Serve
  11. 6
Serve immediately. Stir gently before drinking to combine the creamy foam with the smooth cold brew.
Note

Store cold brew in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Brown sugar syrup can be made in advance and stored for 1 week in an airtight container.

For a lighter version, replace heavy cream with cold full-fat milk or oat milk.

Adjust sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar syrup to the foam.

Always use halal-certified vanilla or alcohol-free alternatives.
