Description

These Mini Caprese Salad Skewers are a vibrant, no-cook appetizer featuring fresh cherry tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil leaves drizzled with a balsamic glaze. They’re the perfect bite-sized snack for summer parties, picnics, or healthy meal prep.

Ingredients
    For the Skewers:
  • 12 pcs Cherry Tomatoes (ripe, firm)
  • 12 pcs Mini Mozzarella Balls (also known as bocconcini)
  • 12 pcs Fresh Basil Leaves (washed and patted dry)
  • 12 pcs Toothpicks or mini skewers
  • For the Dressing:
  • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil (cold-pressed)
  • 0 tbsp 0.5 Balsamic Glaze (store-bought or homemade)
  • Pinch Sea Salt (to taste)
  • Pinch Cracked Black Pepper (optional)
Instructions
    Prep Ingredients
  1. 1
Wash the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves. Pat them dry using a clean paper towel. Drain mozzarella balls from any excess liquid.
  2. Assemble the Skewers
  3. 2
Using a toothpick or mini skewer, thread one cherry tomato, followed by a fresh basil leaf (folded if large), then a mozzarella ball. Repeat until all skewers are assembled.
  4. Drizzle and Season
  5. 3
Arrange the assembled skewers on a platter. Drizzle lightly with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze. Sprinkle with sea salt and cracked black pepper if desired.
  6. Serve Immediately or Chill
  7. 4
Serve fresh immediately, or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving for a cooler snack.
Note

Mozzarella Tip: If you can't find mini mozzarella balls, cut regular mozzarella into bite-sized cubes.

Basil Substitute: Baby spinach leaves can work in a pinch, but fresh basil provides the most authentic Caprese flavor.

Storage: Best served fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.

Balsamic Glaze Option: To make your own glaze, reduce balsamic vinegar over low heat until thick and syrupy.
